Weather in Alicante

Alicante has a Mediterranean climate. June and July are the hottest months. In winter the weather in Alicante is soft and minimum temperatures rarely fall below 7 or 8 degrees. The rainiest months are in autumn, although Alicante records over 300 days of sunshine a year.

The average temperature in Alicante is high, between 13 º C and 18 º C and reaches in summer maximum between 30 º and 40 º. Rainfall is low (between 300 and 500 mm / year) and the hours of sunshine in a year are usually clear about 2500 hours. In the interior regions the Mediterranean climate gets continental influences because of the proximity to the plateau, while the area is in the Marina Alta maritime microclimate is favoured by sea breezes.
